EVERYTHING BASUAH!

This summer has been a filled with community outreach, education, and good laughs for BASUAH! The 2014 BASUAH Summer Enrichment Program Ambassadors have been very busy as 15 new and returning ambassadors debunked stereotypes, stigma, and perceived barriers in the Springfield community. These ambassadors learned how to better serve the community as well as participated and produced several events this summer that enhanced the mission of the BASUHA Communities of Color Initiative. In addition to learning, Summer Enrichment ambassadors worked throughout the springfield community, developing gardens, mentoring to elementary and pre-school students, coaching sport and assisting with Public Health awareness events.
